This article analyzes the experience of the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH) in the articulation between the university-society link and international cooperation as a strategy to promote the sustainable development of the country. A study was carried out with a quantitative approach and exploratory scope, based on 25 projects executed between 2015 and 2025. The purpose was to identify and analyze the actors involved, the areas addressed, the sources of financing and the alignment of said projects with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The findings reveal that UNAH has strengthened its role as a key actor in international cooperation, leading more than 50% of the projects and standing out in areas such as education, health, culture and inclusion. A concentration of initiatives in Ciudad Universitaria is evident, which poses the challenge of promoting the execution of cooperation projects in other areas of the country. The study concludes that the synergistic interaction between linkage and cooperation strengthens the social impact of the university and represents an opportunity to promote national transformation. The article lays the foundation for future research on integrated university management models.
