Intersections Between Hybrid Violence, Public Health, Mental Health, and Therapeutic Justice
Keywords:
Violence, Mental Health, Public HealthAbstract
Hybrid violence, constitutes a major threat to both mental health and community-level public health. This article examines how such environments generate significant psychological impacts that accumulate over time, thereby affecting collective well-being and underscoring the need for integrative approaches grounded in therapeutic jurisprudence. A narrative review of literature published between 2015 and 2025 in Spanish and English was conducted using databases such as PubMed, SciELO, Redalyc, Latindex, DOAJ, ScienceDirect, Scopus, Web of Science, Dialnet, and Latin American scholarly sources. The review revealed limited evidence directly linking public health and therapeutic jurisprudence, highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary frameworks for addressing hybrid violence. Findings indicate that exposure to hybrid violence not only produces individual psychological distress but also weakens social cohesion. Within this context, therapeutic jurisprudence emerges as a promising strategy for shaping policies and interventions that integrate emotional repair, prevention, and community strengthening.
