Catalan Capuchins in the vicariate of Bluefields, 1913-1942

In this meticulous research, by means of manuscripts and other valuable sources, the author reconstructs the mission nary history of the first Catalonians Capuchins of the vicariate of Bluefield’s, which included Bluefield’s, Cabo Gracias a Dios, Prinzapolka, Siquia, Rio Grande and the islands of the Atlantic Coast that belonged to Nicaragua. In their missionary path, these first Capuchins lead us over a part of the history of the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua and give us names and information’s about the inhabitants of many communities. They also reveal their concern for the education and the future of the Atlantic Coast.
