Brief conceptual characterization of the socioeconomic problems of the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua.

The Atlantic Coast of Nicaragua is a complex sum of inequalities that includes the dichotomy of important natural resources along with poverty and marginalization of the majority of its inhabitants. This article describes the structural problems (poverty and marginalization, unemployment, unbalance development), institutional problems (the institutional weakness of the State, struggle for a larger share of the revenues generated by the region) and other relevant Socioeconomic problems that affect the development of the Nicaraguan Caribbean Coast.
