The objective of the documentary research was to analyze the advances of knowledge management applied to student intellectual production at undergraduate level, from the different contemporary psychoeducational paradigms. It characterized and contrasted the conception of knowledge and learning, production and management of knowledge and the strategies of dissemination of the results, applied to student intellectual production at the undergraduate level. The educational paradigms analyzed were: traditional, behaviorist, constructivist, sociocritical and humanist. It was concluded that, in order to adapt higher education to the knowledge society, it is mandatory to adapt pedagogical practices and university management. Student knowledge management is a useful instrument for increasing quality in higher education, since it is a resource for scientific, economic, social and cultural development. However, its institutionalization requires the paradigmatic renewal of the members of the academy at the institutional, local and global levels.
