Abstract

This article analyzes the need to transform General Studies in the Honduran University. To this end, from the National Autonomous University of Honduras (unah), the Project for the Transformation of General Studies in Honduras and at the University of the 21st Century is structured, supported by the results of an analysis of those involved and the development of two days of academic debates on the subject; The first provided a theoretical framework that supports the proposal and the second served to understand the nature and purpose of the General Studies. In the analysis of those involved, the need was found to carry out a profound transformation of general studies in the country's Higher Education System, in its different dimensions.
