The proposed papers for publication in the journal must be unpublished works, not allowing publication in another journal. Submitted papers should not be reviewed simultaneously in other journals. They must also conform to the format and editorial policy of the journal. The editorial committee will consider for publication works related to technology, engineering and science, and other works that contribute to the generation of knowledge.
In order to increase the scientific impact, Nexo Scientific Journal publishes its articles in Open Access, allowing the search, linking, reading, downloading and printing of the complete texts for free according to the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives, provided due recognition is given to the authorship of the work and the initial publication in this journal, without commercial purposes and the work or a part is not transformed. Authors with accepted papers should not pay for publication. The National Engineering University in Managua, Nicaragua finances the publication costs of the papers.
Peer review policy
All papers are subject to an editorial process. They will be reviewed by members of the editorial committee, who will have the decision to accept or reject articles deemed inappropriate according to the editorial policy of the journal and editorial standards. Likewise, the editorial committee may propose amendments to the papers regarding the syntactic and spelling correction of the works.
In case the paper complies with all editorial requirements and norms, the editorial committee will proceed to send the manuscripts to a Double Blind Peer Review Process, where two experts not belonging to the editorial committee of the journal will determine the following:
1. Publish the paper without modifications.
2. Publish the paper only when recommendations/modifications have been included.
3. Refuse publication of the paper.
In case of discrepancy in the results, the article will be sent to a third reviewer. In all cases, decisions are final. In case of compliance with the review by the experts, the journal will notify the authors of their acceptance for publication.
Nexo Scientific Journal applies a policy of zero tolerance to plagiarism. The detection of plagiarism is a task carried out by the entire editorial committee of the journal and the peer reviewers through search engines, for example Google Scholar. Other practices rejected by the journal are: manipulation of citations and falsification / fabrication of data. The detection of these bad practices implies sanctions, for example: the elimination of papers and even prohibition for authors to continue publishing in the journal.
Take into account that:
1. Editorial decisions are final and unappealable.
2. The authors, when submitting their manuscripts, detach the journal from inconveniences related to authorship and co-authorship, conflicts of interests / competing interests and intellectual property.
4. After publication, no modifications can be made to the manuscript, unless the need for them is demonstrated.
Note that Nexo Scientific Journalis one of the so-called "Camera ready copy", where the authors send the manuscript in the final format ready for publication. In the following link: download template, The author can find the template for preparing papers, so the document only needs to be modificated with the content of the work, respecting all the format and style guidelines, e.g., the use of the APA international standard for the preparation of manuscript references.
