Abstract

"Ethereum has taken what was a four-function calculator of a programming language in Bitcoin and turned it into a full-fledged computer" (Fred Ehrsam, n.d.). Ethereum is the second largest market capitalization cryptocurrency behind only Bitcoin; however, the nature and potential is different and of greater long-term utility. As it is currently becoming known, Bitcoin is emerging as the money of the next generations; for this reason, and in view of the rise of new cryptocurrencies, many are wondering what Ethereum is?
