Análisis de la incidencia de la inversión extranjera directa y los factores internos del sector comercial nicaragüense

This report analyzes the impact of foreign direct investment (FDI) and internal factors on the value added of Nicaragua's commercial sector 1994 -2024. Using a mixed-methods approach, a correlational-explanatory scope, and a longitudinal design, the study employed official secondary data and an econometric model.
Based on endogenous growth theory, the results indicate that commercial value added depends on external flows. However, the sector demonstrated resilience to recent shocks. Taken together, these findings show that commercial value added depends on the effective coordination of investment policies, capacity building, and efficient government spending to ensure sustainable and resilient growth.
