Abstract

This essay aims to comparatively analyze the technical efficiency of the network of health services SILAIS Carazo, using the technique of data envelopment analysis. This technique allows us to know that drives efficient health services are made reference to those inefficient units and potential improvements to be carried each inefficient unit, that is, in proportion to their inputs should reduce or increase their product to achieve efficiency. Relative technical efficiency is measured. To determine whether technological change in this period Malmquist index is upheld. In the analyzed period the health care units has shown that technical efficiency are San Marcos and Rosario, the health center has shown that efficiency problems is the Paz de Carazo.
