The present article shows the main results of an investigation on the Aerodrome of the city of Tela, Atlántida, Honduras. For this work the initial situation of said aerodrome was reviewed, the regulations that can favor or limit the growth of its operations, as well as the territorial planning plan of the Municipality of Tela. With the information obtained, possible scenarios were generated for key decision-making by investors, the State, members of Tela communities and neighborhoods, the University and other entities interested in the development of this Aerodrome. A brief description of the context including the presence of airlines and an analysis of the statistics available from major airfields in Honduras operating under similar conditions were taken into account for the investigation. The conclusions of the research project indicate that the Tela aerodrome has a good potential to increase airlines traveling to the city of Tela, provided that at least the following elements converge: a commitment of collaboration of all the interested parties in the development of the aerodrome, dissemination of the benefits of an aerodrome in the city of Tela and promotion of the Tela region as a tourist destination
