Through the application of techniques and instruments typical of school ethnography,
the following research has been carried out, which seeks to identify how the work of
socioemotional skills (HSE) is incorporated during the classes of first and third grade
teachers of the Educational Complex “Professor Rodrigo Flores”. In order to account for this,
the main objective of the study, the initial interests and the method applied are presented
in the introduction. Next, the background and the problem statement are developed, for
which a bibliography that addresses the socioemotional issue at school was consulted.
Next, the research is situated through a contextualization of the school, to give way to the
research results. These results highlight how teachers proceed to work on the relational
aspect with students, obtaining as a result, a traditional exercise in which only the materials
provided by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MINEDUCYT) are used.
However, a higher level of importance and commitment on the part of teachers in this
socioemotional component is evidenced. Finally, conclusions are presented, highlighting
the gaps and problems that prevent a systematic application of the HSE in the school.
