Abstract

This research exercise explores the conception of “error” from the students’ perspective
through a study with an anthropological approach carried out with second year high
school students of the Complejo Educativo Adela Calderón de Herrera, between August
and September 2023. The study investigates the understanding of students’ emotions and
attitudes towards “error” in relation to summative and formative evaluation. It also explores
the students’ opinions about the educational practices implemented by teachers to work
on “error” with their students. Among these educational practices, formative evaluation
and collaborative work stand out as a tool to transform the negative perception of “error”.
