Psychometric contributions to salvadoran psychology: a documentary review between 2010 and 2024

Psychometrics is the field of psychology that focuses on the construction and adaptation of instruments for measuring psychological characteristics, personality and psychopathological traits, intelligence, abilities, among others. Thanks to this field of study, precise evaluations are carried out in the clinical, educational, and work fields, among others. Therefore, this documentary-type study aims to demonstrate the psychometric contributions made by psychology professionals in El Salvador. A total of 38 psychometric studies were collected; most of them were related to clinical psychology and educational psychology; they were mainly focused on adults. The contributions made contribute to the growth of psychology in El Salvador to carry out evaluations and decision-making with greater precision based on scientific evidence.
