Abstract

This essay explores the aesthetic dimension that underpins the educational and re-educational proposal of Biodanza and its extension, biocentric education, created by Rolando Toro Araneda (Chile, 1924 - 2010).
The coincidences and contributions of Toro's proposal are discussed in the face of contemporary aesthetic visions.
Although Biodanza and biocentric education share some aspects with contemporary aesthetics, the radical approach of Biodanza in existential processes linked to living as an integral experiential means, leads to a biological conception of creativity, and a different aesthetic vision of contemporary conception, which resignifies and enriches the aesthetic dimension for life.
