Experimental work is one of the best ways to demonstrate the learning acquired by students, contrasting theory with practice and duly applying it to physical equations and manipulation of materials as didactic resources. This essay has the purpose of describing the learning of the simple pendulum in the elaboration of an assemblable prototype for experimentation, the use of equations for the calculation of frequency and period, laboratory script and the importance of the experimental approach of Physics in the formation of future teachers with skills in the teaching of science in fourth year students of the Physics-Mathematics career, specifically in the subject Experimental Didactics II. Environments were provided for them to appropriate experimental work as scientific knowledge and experimentation with materials from the environment, an ideal resource for meaningful learning. After the construction of the simple pendulum, necessary guidelines were generated for the application of the subject approach: to convert the conjecture into useful scenarios and resources for students, demonstrating that many phenomena of Physics are present in everyday life.
