La Jornada Universitaria de Desarrollo Científico de la UNAN-Managua se concibe como un evento académico/estudiantil institucionalizado a partir de 1981.  Este evento es coordinado por la Dirección de Investigación de Grado de la UNAN-Managua por medio de la Comisión de Investigación de cada facultad.
