Abstract

Recently it has been discovered that the rate of water evaporation can increase significantly up to a factor 3 using a material with broad absorption spectrum of visible light such as grapheme. At the Nanotechnology Laboratory of Francisco Gavidia University, El Salvador. We have tested with different types of graphite available locally to determinate which of them is more efficient to evaporate water. The goal of this study is desalination of seawater using less energy and increasing the speed of obtaining drinking water. We have used 3D printing technology as development of rapid prototyping.
