This article explores the foundations that shape up one of the most innovative initiatives for the developing cinematography practice in Honduran panorama: the Postwar Film School. This community of emerging creators pursues the exploration and the study of audiovisual language as the main input to stimulate freedom of expression through cinema, aimed at all students of the most important University in Honduras. Acknowledging that the vast majority of participants come from modest social groups with few resources, it makes them aware that filmmaking is mainly a collective art, which, when developed through the support of all those involved, with the available resources and with a bit of rebellion, talent, discipline and love of art, they can create films that question reality and help to a better understand it.
