Abstract

Current Honduran poetry is going through a moment of apogee in which a multitude of themes, representations and influences are appearing. Thus, the book Bajo la delgada estepa de la tarde (2023) written by Felipe Rodríguez Medina, is part of this recent literary production. The objective of this work is to point out love as the center of the human condition in this poetic proposal. The beloved is the focus of attention of the amorous expression. Under a hermeneutic analysis, the traits related to love are found. Some of Z. Bauman's reflections on love and modernity enter into dialogue. Among the main results, the poetic voice unfolds in the loving word, finds in the beloved the generating motive that is enunciated in everyday life, a simple language and the purity of feeling.
