Abstract

This study proposes a model ofresearch-creation applicable to music education and transferable to otherarts in Nicaraguan universities. Between 2024–2025, we worked with 18key informants from three areas (UNP, MINED, and Departments of Culture). Thedesign integrates a qualitative approach with documented artistic practice. Semi-structured interviews validated by peers, observation ofrehearsals, samples, and a digital portfolio with metadata (decisions, artifacts, andversions) were used. Content analysis, with double coding and documentary triangulation, focused on educational quality and academic recognition criteria. The main result is a matrix of ninedimensions (technical exploration, material; decisions; reflexivity; contextand ethics; documentation; artifacts/results; pedagogical transfer;dissemination; integrity) that links the creative process with assessable evidence. Institutional feasibility is projected to be conditional on teacher training, version-controlled repositories, and the use of analytical rubrics. Apilot program for 2024–2025 with a transdisciplinary commission is recommended. The work isaligned with the National Education Strategy 2024–2026 and the National Plan2022–2026. The design of an Artistic Evaluation Matrix is proposed toallow for the qualitative assessment of reflective processes and validationthrough an Institutional Pilot Plan.In essence, the aim is for the formal education systemto embrace this modality in order to diversify its forms of research, recognizing the leading role of the artist-teacher and enriching the nationalresearch corpus with epistemologies centered on culture andexperience. The result is an updated teaching staff and an educational qualitythat shines through creativity.
