This study analyzes the impact of music as a didactic strategy for sensory stimulation in students with autism spectrum disorder. It is part of the thesis entitled: Music as a didactic strategy and its impact on sensory stimulation to students with autism spectrum disorder in the second level of Initial Education, which proposes musical didactic strategies aimed at sensory stimulation. The study was developed under a qualitative approach, based on the socio-critical paradigm, considering the participation of the educational community. For this, information collection techniques were used, such as interviews with teachers and parents of a TEA student, as well as observations in the school context, which allowed us to understand the perceptions, needs and experiences related to the implementation of music as a didactic and inclusive resource. The results showed that there is a need to incorporate music into Special Education, school planning, not only as a recreational resource, but as a pedagogical tool that enhances integral development.
