Curriculum harmonization is an issue that has been addressed, recognizing the importance of providing relevant and contextualized academic training that meets the needs of the environment in which the curriculum is implemented. The need to establish mechanisms that promote curriculum harmonization stems from the institutional commitment to respond to the demands of development and social needs. Harmonization is a process that requires collaborative work among a group of individuals from diverse fields of knowledge, including specialists and curriculum managers from various institutions. This article, based on a review of existing literature, presents conceptualizations of curriculum harmonization and the experience of the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua, Managua (UNAN-Managua) in developing a component titled "Curriculum Harmonization" within a master's program. This paper aims to discuss the importance of implementing strategies that contribute to strengthening education and to highlight the need to put dialogue into practice as an alternative for decision-making. The methodology employed is based on analytical documentary research using guiding questions that generated methodological proposals to streamline curriculum harmonization. Therefore, the following sections will present a reflection aimed at contributing to educational relevance and quality through the curriculum harmonization process. Among the conclusions, the need to continue strengthening academic training processes and responding to social needs and demands is emphasized.
