Abstract

In this article the author seeks to give an account of the situation of rights and working conditions in which the workers of the textile maquilas of the free zone regime work in the framework of almost thirty years of their reinstatement in Nicaragua. The document reviews how this type of work system installed in the height of neoliberalism causes serious consequences in the body, emotions and vital projects of the workers. The perverse articulation between intense labor exploitation. The absence of official oversight and discrimination constitute a systematic state of defenselessness that is reinforced by the chain of inequalities to which these workers belonging to the most disadvantaged and disadvantaged sectors of Nicaraguan society are subjected.
