Abstract

Medical residency is a stage of great stress, and may contribute to the onset of burnout syndrome and depression, although it is true that it is the period in which skills and knowledge for the practice of a medical specialty are acquired, this stage requires an availability complete where you will be constantly tested, to decrease hours of sleep, physical fatigue, distancing from loved ones and low wages, you should try to avoid getting to suffer from burnout syndrome as it will be detrimental to the patient's care and affecting the health of the resident itself.
