This article analyzes the violences: direct, structural, cultural, and symbolic, reported in Central America. A literature review was conducted, and the historical and current contexts of these violences in the region are examined. The significance of the study lies in demonstrating that violences, particularly against women and young men from impoverished sectors, will not be eradicated solely through legal or institutional improvements. The findings reveal that, despite significant normative and institutional advances, structural, cultural, and symbolic factors continue to converge in perpetuating direct violence.
