Abstract

El 20 de octubre de 1997, se inauguró en Santiago de Chile la Universidad Alberto Hurtado, dirigida por la Compañía de Jesús. En esa ocasión, su Rector, Fernando Montes SJ, pronunció su discurso inaugural en presencia del Presidente chileno Eduardo Frei, del expresidente Patricio Alwing y de unas mil personas, entre senadores, diputados, figuras políticas, académicas y religiosas de Chile.
