La educación y sin lugar a dudas la educación superior, atraviesa un período de crisis tanto en el norte como en el sur. La misma se manifiesta por una ruptura importante del equilibrio, la categorización de Cazalis, en cuanto a tres finalidades de la universidad su finalidad intelectual, humanista y utilitaria.
