Abstract

Globally, the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the normal performance of education. Faced with the challenges of social distancing, the emerging need to use technologies and other resources that guarantee the teachinglearning process was established, where teachers  ad to strengthen their pedagogical leadership capacities to achieve the training objectives. Understanding that pedagogical leadership is the ability to enhance learning using   rofessional knowledge as a basis to adapt to situations, the objective of the research was to identify the pedagogical leadership of the teachers of the Azuero Integral Bilingual Training Center in Panama through the application of the prioritized curriculum, taking as a reference the fulfillment of the educational process through the use of virtual platforms in the context of the quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic, in the 2020 school year. A descriptive investigation with a mixed approach was carried out to a population of 70  teachers, who were working at that time in the Integral Bilingual Training Center of Azuero, to whom a questionnaire was applied, obtaining a response rate of 71%. The results revealed that teachers incorporated specific planning processes (90%), new   methodological strategies (90%), an approach to conceptual foundations (80%) and clear and simple communication mechanisms (96%), that evidenced pedagogical leadership of teachers as a success factor to meet the objectives of the prioritized curriculum in  emergency situations, to face the dynamics of classes during the pandemic.
