The article makes a conceptual approach about masculine identities in higher education. A qualitative methodology was used to problematize an experience of local and institutional character, evidencing that masculine identities in higher education are changing, performative, flexible, and instituted in the cotidianity. The conclusions show the existence of an incipient institutionality for the debate and approach of masculinities, as well as the persistence of spaces and processes of oppression for women.
