Visibilidad de las investigaciones de las universidades hondureñas

The development of technology has allowed a large amount of information to be placed on the network, popularizing search engines that aim to help the user to detect relevant information and gain access to scientific knowledge. That is why the importance of the visibility of the information that as an educational institution wants to communicate with the rest of the world. This article presents an analysis of the positioning achieved in 2018 and 2019 by Honduran universities in the University Web Ranking, examining the role of the indicators linked to the Web, due to the importance that the rankings give to visibility. The analysis of the websites of the universities is carried out with indicators that measure the amount of external links received (visibility indicator), the number of visits to the website (popularity indicator) and the Metadata, which include content indicators and Metrics used of the Honduran universities classified by this ranking in 2019 at the country and worldwide level, the ones that occupy the first three positions are the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH), the Pan American Agricultural School (EAP) and the Central American Technological University (UNITEC).
