The civil service career in Honduras is a fundamental mechanism to ensure stability and professionalization in public service. Over the years, it has faced challenges related to politicization, ineffective implementation, and the lack of rigorous evaluations. This article analyzes the evolution of the civil service system in the country, its legal foundations, and the main difficulties preventing its consolidation. Additionally, strategies are proposed to strengthen the system and ensure a more efficient and transparent public administration.
