Postgraduate studies as a primary axis in the generation of scientific research

Abstract

Scientific research and postgraduate studies are not considered a tribal matter for higher education institutions, since they constitute a large part of the raison d'être of universities (Bifano, 2008). According to Guevara Pérez (2005), higher education institutions act as dynamic entities that provide changes for the development of societies; therefore, among their primary obligations, they must offer their teachers, collaborators and graduates the opportunity to achieve the improvement of their professions and knowledge.
