The purpose of this essay is to make a critical reflection on the importance of inclusive education. Valuing the changes and progress made in Nicaragua, particularly in the UNAN-Managua/CUR-Estelí, where training processes have been carried out for teachers in order to provide better care for students with disabilities and to enable them to receive quality learning, with warmth and in harmonious environments. In today’s education it is necessary to convert classrooms into inclusive environments so that students have the same right to receive relevant and contextualized learning in order to put it into practice in the different facets of life. Therefore, educators must see inclusion as a way of guaranteeing this right, envisioning equal opportunities and eliminating barriers that hinder learning to ensure their active participation in the contexts where they develop. In conclusion, inclusive education is a transforming tool for a society that is more just, harmonious, supportive and respectful of diversity.
