Abstract

Forty years ago it would have seemed unimaginable that the United States and some countries of the Arab world would end up involved in a culture shock, for which thousands of people have lost their lives.
During the last decades the majority of the Arab-Muslim countries of great extension, have not shown sign of enmity with the United States, and in many cases even they follow the indications of Washington in economic questions; Furthermore, not all of them institutionally support terrorism.
But the current situation has provoked mixed feelings and opinions between them and the rest of the world. Muslims have become confused as fanatics, because many of them practice a modern political Islamism, which is commonly called Islamic Fundamentalism.
