I do not think it is possible to reach a fiscal balance in the short term. What needs to be generated is a fiscal policy that progressively closes existing gaps and distributes fiscal charges more evenly. It is urgent to get to work for that in a concerted manner. This implies not only acting on the revenue side but also on a better geographical, economic and social distribution of the State's expenses.
We have repeatedly proposed a transparent and participatory discussion of the fiscal problem that leads to a medium-term social pact; However, the refusal to acknowledge the fiscal problem affirming non-existent healthcare, or the offer of insufficient solutions such as panaceas, has hindered the generation of a serious proposal such as is urgently needed.
