Abstract

At the beginning of the 20th century, the agriculture and artisanal production characteristic of the previous century maintained its predominance, however, in Western countries an industrialization process was initiated with new techniques unprecedented in history.
From 1896-1897, the western economy began to expand, based on the increase in the number of consumers, the growth of investments, as well as the appearance of new technologies, modifying the old production patterns.
This is how the production of steel, electricity, the generation of oil for productive purposes and the industry based on organic chemistry begins to develop.
