Abstract

The objective of the research was to determine the knowledge of the legal framework that regulates the educational transition to the digital age, in the district of Santa Ana, during the year 2023. A descriptive study was carried out, with a mixed approach and a non-experimental design, addressing the different sectors of the population immersed in this situation, which included school directors, teachers, IT staff and students from these elementary education centers. The results reflect that the Ministerio de Educación, Ciencia y Tecnología (Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, MINEDUCYT, given its Spanish acronym) makes great efforts to provide essential resources to schools. Despite this, the findings revealed that the teaching staff had no full knowledge of the laws that regulate virtual teaching; as a consequence, the results of the educational process were not achieved as expected.
