Informal care and health system in Nicaragua

Abstract

This article aims to make an analytical examination of the systems applied in health care policies, taking into account the theoretical contribution made by feminist theories, with an emphasis on the case of Nicaragua. Therefore, it takes as a central focus of analysis the relationship between care systems and health policies. It also includes the subjective dimension of the caregivers, mostly relatives who provide care on an unpaid basis.
