In the dynamic world of research and clinical practice, letters to the editor have become an essential vehicle for exchanging ideas, constructive criticism and updating knowledge. In this issue of ALERTA, we would like to highlight the valuable contributions that these communications have made in three key areas: artificial intelligence in clinical pharmacology, complications associated with tracheostomy and the challenges of the right to health protection in the Constitution of the Republic of El Salvador. In this sense, artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing the field of clinical pharmacology, enabling unprecedented personalization in the treatment of disease. Touching on this topic in our journal has been fundamental to discuss the advances and limitations of these emerging technologies. However, researchers and clinicians need to share more of their experiences on how algorithms can optimize therapeutic decisions, improve clinical outcomes, and reduce adverse effects. In the scientific environment, a critical debate has arisen about ethical and safety issues that must be addressed before implementing these tools on a large scale. This open dialogue is vital to ensure that the use of AI benefits all users of healthcare systems without compromising their well-being.
