Abstract

The implementation of the outsourced home delivery strategy was evaluated in microenterprises operating in the agroindustry, food, and beverage sectors during 2021 in the cities of Cojutepeque, in the department of Cuscatlán, and Ilobasco and Sensuntepeque, in the department of Cabañas, El Salvador. The study analyzed the use of outsourced home delivery services by microentrepreneurs, including the identification of the main contracted companies and the impact on business profitability. The results showed significant benefits following the adoption of this service, with restaurants, diners, and food and beverage businesses experiencing the highest profitability. The study highlights the importance of adapting to the dynamic changes of the business environment, the need for efficiency in distribution processes, and the identification of market opportunities. In this context, the outsourced home delivery strategy emerges as a viable business alternative to boost sales and improve the profitability of microenterprises, especially in the post-pandemic scenario.
