The purpose of this article is to analyze the scope of the psychosocial expert report prepared from an Indigenous worldview perspective by expert Nieves Gómez Dupuis and the Community Studies and Psychosocial Action Team (ECAP), as well as its impact on the judgment issued by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACtHR) in the Plan de Sánchez Massacre case. In that decision, the Court found the State of Guatemala responsible for violating the human rights of the Maya Achí community in 1982 and highlighted the report’s influence on the reparations measures ordered by the tribunal in favor of the victims of the armed conflict.
