What have we learned about environmental sustainability?

Abstract

This essay addresses the importance of environmental sustainability to preserve natural resources and ensure a balance between economic, social and environmental dimensions. It highlights global advances in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and local initiatives in Honduras, such as those led by FUNDAHRSE. It concludes that the transition towards sustainable models is essential, although challenging, to mitigate the effects of the environmental crisis and ensure a viable future for the next generations.
