The objective is to describe the clinical case of a patient with pulmonary tuberculosis, in whom the nursing care process (PAE) and Dorothea Orem's self-care theory were applied, which allow the nursing staff to teach the patient to perform self-care actions to preserve their physical and mental health. The clinical case of a 56-year-old patient with pulmonary tuberculosis, originally from the municipality of Oropoli, Department, El Paraíso, is presented. The nursing interventions were carried out focused on the nursing care process (PAE), a diversity of care and activities were provided, aimed at providing quality care to the patient with pulmonary tuberculosis, related both in the social, emotional, and physical. With the application of nursing care, positive results were achieved, since at the end of the first phase of the treatment, the control Bacilloscopy was performed, which was negative, achieving the patient's recovery in both her physical and emotional health.
