Abstract

This investigation will analyze the effects of the different economic policies, and the efficiency for the energy demand management in Honduras´ residential sector, measured by the price and income elasticity demand. A quantitative process is used, explained by the theory of elasticity related to the problem. Its purpose is to serve as a blueprint for the evaluation process of the different political publicies in Honduras, taking in account all the necessary information to reach a consensus and establish a national energy policy vision. In this regard, the following investigation seeks to be a baseline for the development of a new national energetic policy that will be able to manage and establish a long term plan for the income and demand elasticity of electricity in Honduras´ residential sector.
