Portal de la Ciencia Journal, published by the Faculty of Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Honduras, publishes original scientific articles or articles with a significant degree of originality in the fields of biology, physics, mathematics, and microbiology, as well as related disciplines. The journal is committed to the dissemination of scientific knowledge and promotes open access to its contents.
We are pleased to present Issue 21 of Portal de la Ciencia, featuring contributions in health sciences, exact sciences, engineering, and environmental studies. The articles published in this volume address topics of significant relevance, including antimicrobial resistance, bacterial resistance mechanisms, the development of mathematical and computational methods, public security challenges related to explosive materials and chemical precursors, as well as advances in nuclear fusion and artificial intelligence.
This issue also includes research focused on biodiversity conservation and the study of ecosystems of importance to Honduras. Collectively, these works reflect the scientific community’s commitment to generating rigorous and relevant knowledge to address contemporary challenges.
