Abstract

This article aims to systematize some contributions related to the inclusion of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the higher education system, in order to identify the progress and challenges in this field through a literature review. The analysis- ynthesis method, grounded in hermeneutics, was used to review bibliographic sources addressing ASD. The results highlight the growing interest in this field of study and the need to strengthen it within the Salvadoran context. It concludes that higher education institutions must adopt strategies that ensure quality inclusive education for all.
