According to the approach this is a descriptive-explanatory research, according to the design it is non-experimental. The study was conducted in 2023. Interviews were applied to 5 teachers and three focus groups with 21 students, from different careers and modalities. It was also necessary to search for bibliography on the subject under study, and the background information that forms the basis of this article. The main results show that research is valued as an integrating strategy, because through it multiple competencies are developed, such as critical thinking, cooperative work, oral and written communication skills, and the good use of technological tools that allow a satisfactory and more dynamic learning.
