Big Data as a value-enhancing tool in business decision-making: A bibliometric study

The current corporate world is becoming increasingly demanding in the effective management of its administrative processes. Digital transformation has become indispensable for modern businesses, requiring the integration of technology into all aspects of operations to enhance efficiency, productivity, and data-driven decision-making. Therefore, the objective of this research is to demonstrate the commercial value that companies can obtain through the use of Big Data, starting from data collection, analysis, the use of appropriate technological tools, and decision-making. The research methodology was descriptive and employed bibliometric and visual analysis approaches to systematically identify research articles from leading business journals in the Scopus database, owned by Elsevier, obtaining data from articles related to Big Data analysis. This study highlights that Big Data could transform the way organizations operate and compete in the market, allowing them to become more agile, efficient, and customer focused, ultimately leading to better performance and positive outcomes.
