The distribution of Eurycotis abdominalis since its description has been an enigma since the collection data on the original label, as well as the distribution mentioned, is in Central America. Based on photographic records in the iNaturalist citizen science platform, we report for the first time the presence of E. abdominalis within the territory of Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.
